The Path of the Soul

The book is about Michael, a friend of the author, who died in 1996. They were very close friends, and Michael's death changed George's life completely. One night he got some messages from Michael, which he wrote down, as he was not sure if they were from Michael or only a product of his imagination. Later on, during a trip to Germany to visit Michael's family and friends, he got confirmation on all the messages from his deceased friend.
And this is where the book gets a bit 'weird' for me. Strange things start to happen to him and Ulla, another friend and colleague of Michael's, flickering of the light, alarms going off when not set, and other things that both George and Ulla are certain that come from Michael.
From here reading onwards I started to get a strong feeling of having read similar before, and it was not long until I realised where. About a year ago I've read a book called The Other Side by bishop James Pike, who's son commited suicide years ago. Similar poltergeist activity was followed in both books. When I was reading about Ulla's earring disappearing without a trace, or another of their friends' lipstick disappearing from the purse, even the second one bought after the disappearance of the first, it strongly reminded me of the pranks that the minister's son was playing on his father.
I really liked this book so far, and I can't wait to see how it ends.
